Priest
I am currently off work due to suffering from clinical depression, this is owing to the bullying I have experienced from a male colleague who I manage.
I haven't been in post very long but over this short period I have endured a lot aggressive behaviour from this colleague who has difficultly accepting orders from a women.
I have felt both physically threatened and worried about maintaining my representation owing to the lies he told about me within the parish and the diocese.
When I spoke to our Bishop about the bullying, he simply told me to 'man up' and 'get over it'.
Not only has this experience been harmful to my faith and my confidence, but I am now feeling my only way out of all this hurt is through my suicide.
