Child Sex
Having last night viewed the excellent channel 4 programme on trafficking I was appalled by the continued use of the term "child sex" to define rape of a child. We do not hear the term "adult sex" to describe the rape of an adult. Using the same language as perpetrators who use this term to justify and normalise their rapes, simply serves only to collude with perpetrators whilst inadvertently blaming the victim. This is the language that perpetrators use to normalise "sex" with a child. Rape of a child is rape. As is the rape of an adult.

We agree – similar to the use of ‘child p0rn0graphy’. It is child rape and images of sexual abuse. This is the language that needs to change. Thank you for your comment 🙂
