This is just a sample of some of the appalling misrepresentations of male violence sent to us this week.

 

Here we have Court News UK reinforcing the belief that violence against women only matters if the woman is a possession of an important or wealthy male: 

Note that Court News implies that Fiona Brenninkmeyer was only granted a divorce because of his infidelity and not his violence, because assaulting your wife whilst she is driving a car on a busy road whilst your two children are in the back seat isn't really a big deal. Nor is Brenninkmeyer's clear history of coercive control and financial abuse deemed a problem in this tweet.

Court News UK deleted this tweet fairly quickly following criticisms. We've yet to see an apology for the offensive language used.
